A Heartfelt Thank You: Reflecting on an Incredible Annual Conference
At Health Compass Inc., we believe that meaningful change begins with people—those who are willing to challenge the status quo, collaborate with purpose, and push for better solutions in healthcare. This past week, that belief was reaffirmed in the strongest way possible during our Annual Vital110 Conference.
Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or joined us for the first time, we want to express our deepest gratitude for making this year’s event such a success.
From the very start of the welcome reception to the final discussions and handshakes, the energy, engagement, and shared commitment to transforming healthcare were undeniable. Your presence, ideas, and support made it all possible.
Community, Collaboration, and a Vision for Change
The conference gave us the opportunity to reconnect with long-time partners and build relationships with new ones. We were especially honored to welcome the spouses and families who joined us, as well as the dedicated vendors who helped elevate every aspect of the experience.
And of course, the Lakehouse in Canandaigua provided the perfect setting—not just for strategy and education, but for laughter, networking, and even a few competitive games of chess.
Events like this aren’t just about presentations and panels—they’re about reinforcing the mission and momentum that drive everything we do at Health Compass Inc.
The Urgency Behind Our Mission
During the conference, we shared data that underscores why the Vital110 Plan is not just innovative—it is essential. These statistics are more than numbers. They reflect the real challenges businesses, families, and individuals face every day within a system that’s long overdue for reform:
-
$4.9 trillion in healthcare expenditures in 2024, averaging $14,000 per person
-
A 30% increase in prescription drug prices over the past five years, now totaling $633 billion
-
25-30% of healthcare spending goes toward administrative costs, with $450-$500 billion considered excessive or unnecessary
-
100 million Americans currently face medical debt; 40% owe over $1,000
-
Medical debt remains the leading cause of bankruptcy in the U.S.
-
1 in 5 Americans avoid care due to fear of out-of-pocket expenses
-
Employers and employees now spend $1.4 trillion annually on medical benefits
-
In 2024, hospital systems reported record profits, some approaching $20 billion, while major insurers—BUCA (Blue Cross, United, Cigna, Aetna, Humana)—reported a combined $55 billion in profits
These figures make one thing clear: our healthcare system is broken, and we can no longer afford to accept business as usual.
Why Vital110 Matters
Vital110 is more than a benefits solution—it is a movement to realign healthcare with the people it was designed to serve. We’re fighting for a system that is:
-
Transparent and cost-effective
-
Centered on prevention and proactive care
-
Accessible through virtual and in-person services
-
Designed to reduce financial burden on employers and employees alike
The support we saw during the conference only reinforced our belief that we’re not alone in this mission. We are surrounded by leaders and organizations who are just as committed to rewriting the future of healthcare—and that is something worth celebrating.
Looking Ahead
We are already looking forward to what’s next—whether that’s continuing conversations started in Canandaigua, preparing for our next gathering in New Orleans, or launching new initiatives together throughout the year.
We truly believe that the success of this movement lies in the strength of our partnerships, and we are honored to have you on this journey with us.
Thank you again for your commitment, your passion, and your belief in what we’re building together. None of this is possible without you.
Warm regards,
